Climbing Cotopaxi (20. August 2005)

Smack on the equator (more or less). Hans' right half is in the southern hemisphere.   Gate of Cotopaxi National Park.   Parking lot one hour below the cabin...   Refuge Jose Rivas, 4800m. The track up the mountain is visible just above the cabin.   Evening before: walking above the cabin.   Dinner in the refuge.   Summit of Cotopaxi, 5897m.   Descent: crossing a crevasse.   Back at the parking lot. The rock wall is called 'Yanasco Wall".   Hacienda Cienega. That evening a wedding took place in this chapel.
