Present: Chris Allgower, Andy Bacher, Scott George, Paul Pancella, Mark Pickar, Tom Rinckel, John Schweitzer, Adam Smith
The meeting came to order at 3:10 pm
The plates for the new target box have arrived. The surface finish is rough, but useable. Pressure testing of the side windows is planned for the coming week.
SHUTDOWN TASKS
The Cooler will be shutting down this weekend and open for a couple of weeks. Our main objective is to move the channel out of the wayso that the tagger can be restored for its final runs. Tom has a detailed sequence, but generally speaking, MWPCs will be removed and the channel floated out of the way on Monday and Tuesday. During this time, Chris will try to remeasure the number of TDC channels per nanosecond with the current setup.
After the holiday, Pancella will open up the target box, remove the PSD, and try to measure the nozzle position relative to some known landmark(s). This should not take more than a day nor interfere with tagger preparations in any way. Chris and others will also be attempting to test magnetic shielding of individual lead glass phototubes during this time, before certain tagger power supplies are reclaimed. We expect the full tagger setup to be restored and pumpdown of the section started about July 13.
OTHER
Tom reports that one of the multi-channel HV supplies we got from Brookhaven has a controller problem. He has a few more things to try before giving up on it. It is possible to run the entire lead glass array from the one supply which does work.
Tom also plans to order some additional programmable delay boxes and two CAMAC controllers. Although not needed for some time, they should be ordered soon because of long lead time.
The assembled team was urged to think about formalizing any questions which we want to answer by replaying data from the test run, for possible descussion at next week's meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 3:45 pm.
